Started in May of 2004, UG Madness, or UGM for short, is a webcomic about Magic: The Gathering that follows the eccentric and slightly far-fetched antics of Dominic and Tyler. Dom and Tyler are roommates and hardcore Magic fanatics. For more information, see the Cast Page.
My name is Jason, or sometimes Jayeb. I write and illustrate UG Madness. I also designed and coded the site. I'm currently a web-design student at RIT in Rochester, New York.
I've always had a close relationship with comics and cartoons. As a child I would read Dilbert, Foxtrot, The Far Side, and Calvin and Hobbes. I would beg my parents to buy the new strip collection books when they were released, then pore over them night after night. I even attempted to make some Calvin and Hobbes strips of my own (the results could probably cause Bill Watterson to implode if he ever saw them). Later, I would discover the wonderful world of webcomics, Where Anything is Possible™. Webcomics have the potential for many times more exposure than printed comics do, and can be targeted towards a specific audience, unlike printed comics. Then, finally, I launched Mana-Burn.com in April of 2004. At the time, we were running a webcomic called CoP: Newbs. When the writer of CoPN began to slack a bit, I drew a little comic as filler. Several weeks later, CoPN officially retired, so I launched UGM to cover the gap. Then, in July of 2005, Mana-Burn.com shut down and UGM moved to its own dedicated website, where it resides today.

.My main demographic is 13-24 year-olds, mostly male, who are interested in games of all kinds. Trading card games, roleplaying games, board games, or video games. Most are probably interested in movies and music. There is a single banner spot on the site available for advertising. This banner appears on every page in the site, with the exception of the Forums. It's located at the top of the page, next to the main logo. The banner is standard size, 468 by 60 pixels.
Spots are sold on a monthly basis. Contact me for rates--I'm very flexible, so let me know your needs and I'll see what I can do.
